Riley's 10th birthday

Riley and I spent a GREAT day at Disneyland for her birthday. Since we have season passes she got a Disney gift card with the cost of admission ($72) and got to shop as she pleased. What girl would not love that? This is our first trip to Disneyland just Riley and I and it was a great bonding day.
Riley loved that she got to call the shots. This photo was taken while waiting in line for Pixie Hollow. We never get to go to Pixie Hollow because her brother would not be caught dead there, much less wait for an hour in line to see Pixies. It turns out that Riley won't wait an hour to see Pixies either. She got bored with the slow moving line and after about 25 minutes she decided that Thunder Mountain sounded like a better idea.
It is a tradition to take Riley's picture in front of the "R" before entering California Adventure. I wish I could find some of the previous photos because I was shocked at how tall she looks compared to the first time we took her photo there.
It was a great day, but a long one. I am exhausted. Riley seemed to be fueled on sugar. I told her she could have whatever she wanted today. Apparently Riley's choice would be 1 donut, 6 donut holes, 2 lemonades, 1 cotton candy, and 1 Mickey Mouse ice cream sandwich. Makes me sick just thinking about it. Good thing I don't give her that kind of freedom on a daily basis.
The nicest part of the day for me was when I asked Riley what her favorite thing about the day was and she replied, "spending it with you". Awwww, do you think I can hope for her having the same reply on her 15th or 16th?
